Sep 1, 2023Fig. 1 shows the overall workflow adopted in this study. Lexicon creation is the primary step in which candidate gender words were identified and their gender scores were determined. It was preceded by data collection that resulted in a large-scale dataset of real-world Chinese job advertisements and followed by a lexicon application that aimed at detecting gendered wording in the advertisements.
