1686 [see prec.] 1753 Chambers Cycl. Suppl., Alcoholized is understood of things which are reduced to an alcohol. In this sense, we meet with alcolized spirits, alcolized powders, etc. This is otherwise written alcoolized, and amounts to much the same as subtilized, rectified, etc.

  3. Saturated with alcohol; subjected to the influence of alcohol.
