(ed. 8) III. xxxiii. 602 Orchiectomy is indicated when the other testis is normal, and the cord too short to allow replacement of the maldescended organ in the scrotum. 1963 Lancet 5 Jan. 21/1 In four cases where the testicle was regarded as non-viable the operation was orchiectomy. Orchiopexy was carried out in the rest though it was not always thought that the organ would function. 1974 Acta Endocrinol.
