bronchia, n. pl. Phys.

  [L. bronchia, a. Gr. βρόγχια (neut. pl.) the ramifications of the windpipe. Formerly sometimes treated as a sing. with a new pl. bronchiæ.]
  The branches or subdivisions of the bronchi within the lungs.
