  [Closely related to dase-n, to daze. The suffix may be as in herwen, harwen, harewen, occurring beside heriȝen, herien, mod. harrow and harry, from OE. herᵹian. The word would thus be a parallel form to *dasiȝen, *dasien, from dasiȝ adj.: see dazy.]
