oidiomycosis

[f. oidium + -o + mycosis.]
Infection of an animal or person with a fungus formerly classified in the genus Oidium, esp. the thrush fungus Oidium (now Candida) albicans. Now usu. called candidiasis. Cf. moniliasis.
