Dipterus

ˈDipterus Palæont.
  [mod.L., f. Gr.: see dipter.]
  A genus of Palæozoic dipnoous fishes, having two dorsal fins, opposite the ventral and anal respectively. Hence dipˈterian a. and n., belonging to, or a member of, this genus.
