  [mod.L., f. Gr. ὀρθό-ς ortho- ‘straight’ + νεῦρον nerve.]
  In Gegenbaur's system of classification, a series of prosobranchiate gastropods, in which the commissure to the abdominal or visceral ganglion takes a straight course backwards.
