A genus of Echinoderms, containing the common Five-rayed Star-fish, with allied species. asterialite (əˈstɪərɪəlaɪt) [see -lite], a fossil star-fish. asterid (ˈæstərɪd), asteridian (æstəˈrɪdɪən), an animal belonging to the Asteridæ or star-fish family.
