mully-grub Austral.

  [Var. of mulligrubs pl.]
  A witchetty grub (cf. witchetty), the larva of various insects, esp. goat-moths of the family Cossidæ and ghost-moths of the family Hepialidæ, which infest the stems and roots of plants. Mully-grubs are extracted and used as food by Aborigines and as bait by fishermen.
