  [ad. L. Iscariōta, a. Gr. Ἰσκαριώτης, understood to be ad. Heb. īsh-q'rīyōth man of Kerioth (a place in Palestine).]
  The surname of Judas, the disciple who betrayed Jesus Christ. Hence, an appellation for an accursed traitor. Also attrib.
