Homoiousion

Homoiousion Theol.

  [eccl. Gr. ὁµοιούσιον, neuter form of ὁµοιούσιος: see homoiousian a. and n. and cf. Homoousion n. and a.]
  the Homoiousion, the term used to express the doctrine put forward by the Semi-Arians, that the Son is ‘of like substance’ with the Father; the doctrine itself: opposed to the term ὁµοούσιον (see Homoousion n. and a.). The masc. form Homoiousios is also used.
