2,4,6-Trihydroxyanisole, C7H8O4, a crystalline compound obtained by alkaline hydrolysis of irigenin.

LIX. 933/1 Iretol is stable when pure and dry, but readily turns dark if exposed to moisture and oxygen. 1960 Tetrahedron Let. v. 8 Iridonitrile and iretol (Hoesch reaction) yielded the deoxybenzoin (I). |
