oxyˈhydrate Chem.
  A hydrated oxide or hydrate of a metal, as oxyhydrate of iron. So oxyˈhydric a., consisting of oxygen and hydrogen combined; as oxyhydric acid, a descriptive term for water (H2O). oxyhydrocarbon a., consisting of oxygen combined with a hydrocarbon.
