[late L., a. Gr. κολόβιον, f. κολοβ-ός curtailed.]
A half-sleeved or sleeveless tunic or robe, such as was worn by the clergy of the early church, by the monks, and by kings at the ceremony of coronation. In later Eccles. use replaced by the dalmatic.
