(1799) II. 382 The cutter either walked smartly by, pretending not to see the cuttee; or, if he wished to make the cut more complete, looked him full in the face. 1821 P. Egan Life in London ii. v. 301 The ‘cut direct’ comes with the severity of a paralytic stroke on the feeling of the poor cuttee. 1859 Habits of Gd. Society ix. 277 It does the cutter as much injury as the cuttee.
