1859 S. Haughton in Phil. Mag. XVII. 18, I propose to give the name of Hislopite to the remarkable combination of Calc-spar and Glauconite found by him [sc. Mr. Hislop] at Nágpur. 1893 Rec. Geol. Surv. India XXVI. 171 The name hislopite loses its specific value when the variation of the included so-called glauconite is..so great as the foregoing results show.
