A derivative of phenacetin (= amido-aceto-para-phenetidin); in pharmacy, applied to the hydrochloride, as a febrifuge.
1891 Lancet 9 May 1060/2 A new antipyretic, hydrochlorate of phenocoll, a white crystalline powder which is readily soluble in water. 1898 P. Manson Trop.
