mesogaster Anat.

  [mod.L., f. Gr. µέσο-ς middle + γαστήρ stomach.]
  A membrane, part of the mesentery, which attaches the stomach to the dorsal wall of the abdomen. Hence mesoˈgastral a., pertaining to the mesogaster (in recent Dicts.).
