How does the heart receive oxygenated blood?

The heart receives oxygenated blood through its two main arteries, the left and right coronary arteries. These arteries branch off from the aorta, the largest artery in the body, and supply the heart muscle with oxygen-rich blood. The oxygenated blood then passes through the chambers of the heart and is pumped out of the heart to the body tissues through the pulmonary artery.
