hi this is Luke and this is my battery saving guide for the BlackBerry z10 before I start I've gotta say because I get comments all the time saying these battery saving tips make the phone a bit rubbish they remove some of the features well yes they do remove some of the features of the phone but you definitely don't need all these features on at all times and if you do need to save battery then these are some really good tips obviously you don't have to use all of these at once you can pick and choose the ones you need so now I'm going to get into it after that little Mon so strange these settings the only thing is you're going to want rip to change really are in your settings so first of all network connections NFC comes on by default which I have turned off I very rarely use NFC so I've turned that off and I can turn that on whenever needed and as I'm in a Wi-Fi area I don't need to be connected to a cellular connection over 3G for example or 4G so keeping that off notifications from sounds have turned all sound off because I like my phone on silent anyway some people might not be able to handle that though so volume is sometimes understandable well quite often understandable but keep it as quiet as you can possibly put up with it display you're gonna want as dark as you can have it I'm not going to keep it fully dark because it still weren't usable but keep it about there as you can see that's still easily usable you never need it all the way up there as you can see from the video screen locked timer you're gonna want that as short as you can pull with it as well so I'm going with 20 seconds but not the lowest there's 10 seconds as well but that might become a bit annoying going down now so you've got location services location services wrong by default which means GPS is always tracking your phone so turn that off and again that should automatically turn off the other features which it has there are also simple things that come on the phone with like syncing with the email so if you automatically sync your emails that'll also drain your battery so if you can change to a manual sync where you always check your emails see if you've got any that's a good one and you're also gonna want a smart charge your device so what you want to do is when you take it out of the box you want to not put it on charge straight away you want to drain the battery completely dead so until the phone switches itself off and then you want to charge it full without using it so and every sort of five to ten cycles you're going to want to completely run it dead and that will prolong the battery life in the future so I hope this has helped hopefully you're not going to moan too much about how it affects the phone if this has helped you at all then please click like let me know your thoughts in the comments below and subscribe if you are looking for blackberries enter Zed ten videos on a regular basis thanks for watching
