okay so whenever you get ready to pin I like to just lay my fabric out and if you taken your pattern pieces off then you you may not know what's the back and once the front so we know that we have more notches on the back than we do on the front so here as you see I have two notches sometimes you have three on the back and two on the front or one on the front and two on the back so Japan I like to just take and stick a pin all my notches to make sure that I've got my notches lined up and then since this is a flannel it usually sticks together fairly well so I'm just going to put one more pin here in the crotch in the curve of the crotch and then over here on this side and then over on this side maybe at the very beginning okay um now that I have that done I'm going to come over I'm going to do the same exact thing to the front and don't need a lot of pins remember we're keeping them perpendicular to the cut line and now we're ready to take it to the sewing machine to sew at five eighths of an inch
