its Duffy was simply Duffy and I am back again today with another cute video tutorial and today it is how to make this cute princess confetti popper these will go great with any princess themed birthday party and also you know you can leave off the little crown embellishment and it can go great with like a ballerina tutu themed birthday party or even if you have a princess theme baby shower or a ballerina baby shower you know a little tutu so if you want to see how I made this cute little confetti popper then continue watching the video so to get started we're going to need a few supplies first we're going to need our this is a cake pop but this is what we're going to use as our confetti popper we'll need a pair of scissors we'll need some double-sided tape or you can use a hot glue gun and your ruler ribbon this is a piece of pink cardstock some different colors pink tissue paper I got two colors here I got a like a medium pink and a light pink we'll need some crepe streamer we're going to need I have here I've already cut out some gold little squares for the confetti also you'll need some pink this is curling ribbon you can use this pink or whatever color pink you have but this is a kind of a light pink here and then I'm the white curling ribbon and also this is the little crown paper so it's just a little paper cutout but you can use whatever little crown you have or whatever little embellishment you want to put on it also will need a you'll need a tape measure this is a clothing one it's like be flexible so you can measure around if you don't have one of these that's fine you can use a piece of string or yarn measure around with the yarn or string cut it and then you would take it that string and then you would lay it on your ruler and that will give you the diameter of the popper also we're going to need a sewing needle and some thread so we're first going to measure around the confetti popper take a little just measure around the diameter of your confetti popper and that is about six inches also I went to measure the up and down the lengthwise of the confetti popper and that is about three and three sixteenths and if you can see it or not three and three sixteenths is the only height of the confetti popper okay so what we're going to do is we are going to take our pink cardstock paper and we are going to measure out a square to go around our confetti popper you'll also need a pencil sorry about that okay so let's measure out the height of our confetti popper which is three and three sixteenths and it was six inches or diameter once you have that drawn out we're going to cut that out okay so there's our square and this is six by three and three sixteenths and what we're going to do is we are going to put some double-sided tape on each end of this peel one of the sides off okay once you have till it off one of your sides of your tape you are going to stick it on go around the popper with it make sure it's kind of straight that way it go around it good peel off this side it's a ribbon I mean it's a double sided tape okay set it there there we have our cardstock wrapped around our confetti popper so now what we're going to do is we are going to move on to making the little tutu skirt and how we do that is we're going to thread our needle you can use pink thread I'm using white because just so you can see a little bit better so we're gonna thread our needle we're just kind of eyeballing our tutu skirt and so I didn't really gonna really measure that out I'm just going to stitch it up until it is going to fit around the popper so just tie it into a knot on the end of your thread so what we're gonna do is we're pretty much to make the ruffles around to make our little skirt we're gonna pretty much so the crepe paper your streamers so how we're gonna do that is we're just going to like just like you're sewing you'll bring your needle in and then back through the back side and then you'll just do this once you start getting a bit more of your crepe threaded it'll start to bunch up and you don't make the little ruffles now I don't know I don't have like a certain links on how how long you need to do it it's just enough to where it's gonna go around your confetti popper so whatever will look good for you if you want it really roughly then you would put a lot of you know of course you would sew it a bit longer and bunch it up a bit more as you go along so see how this is starting to make like a little ruffle here you want to make Q of these so once you get to the end you can use your scissors take your scissors and cut the crepe then cut your string and go ahead and tie it in a little knot tied it in a few little knots there so it doesn't go through the paper and then I'll just trim up my string and you'll need to make two of these okay once you have them both cut out then you'll decide whether or not you want to use your double-sided tape or if you would prefer to use a hot glue gun to attach your little skirt your little ruffle around your confetti popper you're going to need to make it pretty straight so what I think I'm going to use is the double-sided tape which will make it a bit easier I'm going to wrap this around here and then I will pull off the white protector and then I will wrap my little tutu skirt will still skirt around onto the double-sided tape but be careful you don't get any other part of your so then I'm going to do that one more time I'm going to take my double-sided tape and I'm going to wrap it there I'm kind of fluff it up whenever you have it on there so this is what it looks like with the little skirts on it with the double layer of the reel it'll ruffle skirt so now what we're going to do is we're going to take our ribbon and we're going to put it around the top part of that to kind of cover this little one this top part of the skirt to make it a little bit mom cuter this size of ribbon is actually five-eighths inch ribbon so that's the width of it and I'm actually going to grab my lighter to singe the end of the ribbon so now that I got my lighter I'm going to melt the ends of my ribbon so I kind of melt it so it doesn't fray and remember the diameter of our confetti popper is actually six inches so I would actually go just a little bit over six inches to make sure you have enough ribbon to to meet all the way so I'm going to do a just a little bit over six inches and I'm going to seal the into that too now it's probably gonna be easier just go ahead and put the double-sided tape onto the backside of your ribbon let's just make sure that it's going to go around put the double sided tape okay once you have your double sided tape then you can start wrapping I would start at the seam and kind of make it go over the top part of the skirt half of it going over the skirt and then half of it going on to the confetti popper I kind of try and work out any of your little creases that you might get and your a ribbon okay if you have any kind of like little jewels you can put around here too if you want so there so far is our tutu skirt well not too to skirt but our princess skirt you if this would actually be cute to for a little tutu if you have like a little ballerina party how cute with those bead that would be like a cute little tutu just like that and then you would stuff your confetti in it but I'm going to actually just go ahead and you can put the crown here if you want but I'm gonna actually put the little crown up here and you can use double-sided tape or you can use them hot glue gun hi I'm going to try my double sided tape to begin with but since its awkward shape I'm gonna do a little piece other time there we go we just put the little I use the double-sided tape and I put that on so now what I'm gonna do is I'm going to show you how I do is the confetti to put inside so what I'm going to do is I am going to start with just kind of cutting the tree together this cuts a strip off of here doesn't have to be perfect and I need my little Bowl I've got a bowl here I'm going to kind of what you're gonna do is you're going to take your scissors and cut like little strips up the paper actually that might be a little bit too wise so I'm gonna kind of fold it and then I'm gonna cut it here into the little pieces into my bowl and I do have some gold confetti I'm gonna mix in with that let me cut a little bit more of my pink now what imma do is I'm gonna take a little bit of my curling ribbon this is white and I'm gonna find starting of it and I'm gonna cut off just a piece you can measure it however you want to it's not a big deal for this and then I'm actually just gonna curl it with my scissors I will open up my scissors be careful you don't hurt yourself with this and then you're just going to take it at the end hold one end and then just bring it through your scissors to curl the ribbon and then I'm just going to stuff that in there with that I'm gonna do a couple of the white I'm going to do some little short ones and then I'll do it with the pink curling ribbon and now what you do is you stuff your little confetti popper with that your little mixture that you have but you'll just stuff it all in the top of your confetti proper my little curling ribbon get put in there there and now you can either leave it like that or you can take a look at stuff in here like that you can take your tissue paper again and you can cut oh it's just like one of the colors here and cut out two of just like two squares here are your tissue paper if you want to make it nice and neat that's fine measure it up if you want I'm not okay so I you have boy I'm going to make that a bit straighter here maybe okay and then what you can do is you can take this pick cover the top part there you can take that stuff that down in there like that and then just do the other one and that's gonna block it from have your confetti just falling out and there and there it's the top part of it can you see that so there's our finished confetti popper how cute is this you can even eliminate the crown and you can just do this as like a little ballerina skirt like a little - to say if you're having a little tutus and tiara party or yeah ballerina party that would be super cute
