greetings today we will be making a 5 meter long low noise balanced signal cable for your professional audio equipment studio speakers or music instruments this tutorial is universal you just simply have to choose your own plugs as always you will need a soldiering kit with support tools also neutrik XLR plug for one of the cable ends because neutrik plugs are goddamn wonderful and for the other end we will be using new tricks six point 35 millimeter stereo plug which is one quarter of an inch and the very last component is the cable which is IMG stage line low noise shielded and with two heads you can start by putting the XLR plug parts on the cable and adding a head shrink tubing prepare the cable for soldiering also check if the cables length is good for you if not simply cut off some part do the same for the other end but here we are going to put the six point 35 millimeter plug because the cable that we're making is balanced XLR to quarter-inch when you and the cable are ready start the soldiering part when soldiering the wires to the XLR plug follow this scheme when it's done check the quality then do the same for the other end where six point 35 millimeter plug is located put a heat shrink tubing so the wire would be more durable for the XLR cable the heat shrink tubing has to be at the point where cable meets the plugs corpus this way the cable itself will last longer without breaking down time to assemble the XLR plug put all the parts together and screw what's necessary here is the first end there is a red indication that this will be right channel wire now put on the six point 35 millimeter nozzle there are the both wires balanced XLR to six point 35 millimeter TRS all that remains is the final inspection check if everything is correctly soldiered so you would avoid any short-circuit if everything works congratulations you just made two great cables with new trick plugs yay
