we're going to show you how to lock and unlock the steering on your scooter first thing you'll need to do is make sure you have your key insert it all the way in you'll need to turn the steering to the left as you do so you need to push slightly on the key and gently kind of turn it and you need to locate the slot where the key lines up and you could feel it right there it went all the way to the left so now you're steering is locked to unlock it you can do the same process go kind of wiggle the handlebars back and forth and push gently on the key and just turn to the right and your switch is unlocked so let's try that again if you try just to show for example if you try and push and turn the key it's only going to go a little bit here but as you turn to the left you'll feel it click over and now your steering is locked you have to locate the slot where that lock pin goes into if you don't if you try and lock it here just slightly to the left it won't go you have to turn a little bit more and then a little turn if it's binded like this and you try and unlock it it's not going to go you have to kind of wiggle it to unlock it okay to remove this front panel here you're going to just remove the yellow one you don't need to take off the silver on the side all you have to do is remove this Philips head screw and there's two more Philips head screws right here there's one here right here at the edge of this little fender piece here and there's one on the left side as well once you unscrew those this panel will pop off you have to lift on it there's some tabs that hold it in place they'll just snap right off to reinstall it you just do the same but the reverse procedure
