Please explain how to make no-sew inexpensive buffalo plaid curtains || make your own fall curtains

hey guys welcome back to my Channel today I'm going to show you how I'm going to make my curtains for my living room I have been wanting buffalo black curtains for like the longest time we had little white blue curtain in there right now and they do like that I thought I would eat it up a little bit like the fall the winner so I decided to write my own fabric I'm going to show you where I got everything I wish it was like super easy because I was so intimidated at first and after the EMP tutorials and looking it up on Pinterest and like looking about you too but like you know what I bet it could be that so I thought that I would make a video of it of me doing mine and then maybe it would inspire you or motivate you to do her own I got this idea from a girl that I follow her name is pink preppy mom really pretty kitchen nook area and I think she did him last year for the first time I should just put her back up she put like her a buffalo glad curtains in her kitchen so cute and she just told me that she'd be herself so anyway I kind of like talk to her a little bit to see what her ideas were and she told me where she got everything and they just look so good so that kind of inspired me to do it myself so anyway if you like videos like this keep watching because I'm going to show you how I make my hurtness so this is everything that I'm gonna be using I got all of this at Hobby Lobby so I have no idea how much heat and bond I'm going to be using so I figured one for each curtain and I have five curtains to make I wanted to get some new scissors so that it would cut nicely and I wouldn't have an issue and then at first I was gonna use the grommets but then I saw that they had these three primaries and with the clips on them and I thought that that was like so convenient so anyway I got two of those I hope it's enough we'll see they didn't have any more block so I will have to wait and they get more I mean you'll get white I don't know we'll see anyway so this is what i'm using i'm going to show you my fabric that i got so I'm in my office right now and they mailed me this long tube of fabric I had no idea what was in the box I thought at first that my husband bought something but then I realized no it is your fabric this is the fabric I bought the duct material I liked it because it was a little thicker than some of the other materials that they had I thought it would be a really good curtain material so and I think I got this from fabric calm I will double-check and I will link it at the bottom and I will also try to put it in the video so alright so I ended up going to fabric comm and I typed in buffalo plaid up at the top they had the classic black and white option which is what I was in the market for and you are able to order it however you want I ordered 11 yards because it's what I thought I needed I actually needed more and guys shipping was SuperDuper fast like this came to my house really quickly but you can see here they have like the description right there and you can see what this particular duct material is good for I saw that it was good for curtains and I was able to feel this particular kind of material at Hobby Lobby which I was thankful for so I knew that it would be heavy enough for curtains but if you keep scrolling down you will see that they have like a lot of different textures and like a lot of different patterns which was really cool I really just wanted something classic and something more fall and festive so again I just went to fabric comm and chose the black and white fabric so these are the curtains that we had on our windows before we started the project and I just used them as a guide for my new curtains because I figured it would be easy I like the length of them I did measure with measuring tape to see how long I wanted my curtains but anyway I just laid these out on top of my floor with my other fabric my brand-new fabric underneath it and I was able to cut around it and I knew I wanted to use my Clips so I kept that into consideration when I was measuring all of this out as you can see here I basically just like I said laid over my older curtain on top of the new one and I knew I wanted to do like a hem like around it so I wanted to keep a little bit of length and a little bit of like just space for me to be able to fold it over whenever I heard the hem on there so I read everything to make sure that it was the right length for my window and the cool thing about this fabric was that it had straight lines on it so it was super easy to cut it and because I could just follow the lines from the pattern so it was like really easy to follow along that way so if you are wanting to make these curtains with this particular pattern that is a helpful guide and like a helpful tip with these particular curtains because it was so easy to cut them so after I was done cutting my first curtain I used it as my guide and this is my older bluer curtain on top of that first curtain that I did cut out and I realized there's a lot of space around that curtain but I wanted to make sure I had enough room to fold it over when I did the hem like when I did the glue on there so anyway I used that first curtain as my new guide and I laid it on top of the new material that I laid out cutting and measuring the what I needed the material that I needed for all the rest of my curtains so as you can see it was so easy to cut this fabric with this pattern and make it even because of following all the lines that are on the fabric so after I was done cutting all the material I wanted to be sure I measured correctly again I've never done this before and I'm definitely not a seamstress so I placed the clips where I thought I wanted it fold it over and where I wanted the bonding glue place and once I saw that it would work I decided just to go for it and I started placing the tape where I wanted to iron this tape was really easy to use I am so glad that I decided to get it and use this around the edges it did take a little time heat up so I had to keep my iron on each like section for about 5 seconds to melt the bonding tape so I really wanted to protect my floors and rugs so I ended up using a towel underneath it which I was so glad I did it was a little of the black spot on the towel I'm actually clean towel sense and it did come off but I wouldn't have wanted them on my floors so anyway since I cut all the materials the same it was easy to fold over the exact same pattern and get the exact same size for every curtain again another awesome perks to this material I wanted them whiter than my last curtain so I was able to alter this how I wanted which is another great reason to just do your own curtain so helpful tip is after I laid down the tape for the first fold over I went back over it on the corners to be sure they were taped and bonded well so if you're doing this you'll see that the corners may need a little more bonding tape kind of like wrapping a present so after bonding with tape on all four sides give me the corners some extra attention I put clips at the top trying to evenly spaced them all out and this was my finished product all of my parents came out the same they all look identical to each other which I'm so happy about so anyway yeah if you are looking to make your own Buffalo plaid or Buffalo check curtains definitely try it go to Fabrice comm and try to order some fabric measuring out your windows be like what you would need but it was super easy and I hope this gives you some inspiration and some motivation to try it yourself thank you so much for watching if you liked videos like this don't forget to hit that subscribe button and give this video a thumbs up and I will see you guys in
