hi and welcome to another how-to video from solution self-camera today we're going to talk about a new product called reclaim IT this product contains bifenthrin which is a 7.9 percent active ingredient it's produced by solutions self Kim right here in Pasadena Texas this product can be used indoor or outdoor for many different types of pests inside we might use it for roaches ants spiders on the outside we can use it for the same types of insects however we can also use it as a turf product for flea control chinch bugs we can use it as an ornamental spray to spray for aphids why fly thrips just a great product all around and we're going to mix this at one ounce per gallon of water very low odor and down in South Texas we have a problem with what we call crazy ants we have found that this product is very effective on that particular ant it's also very effective on fire ants as well if you give me just a minute we're gonna get some mixed up and we'll start spraying ok so we've decided to start on the outside of this house we're gonna use a pump sprayer first and we're gonna go around and spray the eaves and around the perimeter of the house and around the windows and stop doing a spot and crack and crevice treatment there we're going to take our bottle this is a really neat bottle it's what we call a tip and measure bottle and you just take it and tip it over and you measure out the proper amount of concentrate that you're wanting to use in this case we're going to use one fluid ounce per gallon of water what we've done is we've filled our container up halfway with water and we're going to take this lid off and we've got our measure measure one ounce and we're going to pour that into our sprayer and then we're going to go back to our garden hose and we're gonna refill can finish filling our container all the way up to the one gallon mark move we're gonna be ready to spray so give me just a second let me get that I'll be right back with you okay we've got our product mixed up again we use the one ounce per gallon of water we've got an area back here that where we've got a lot of pool equipment heater the a/c units and this is an area that's that's prime for insect problems such as roaches and spiders and things like that so we're going to spray the the slab area down here around the perimeter on the side of the house we're also going to spray around these windows here we've got some areas that need to be cocked up where insects can or so we're going to spray those areas and then we're going to come back later on after it dries and do some caulking we've got an Evo here that we're going to spray where we've got some cracks and some openings up there where insects are also entering the structure up through the attic area so we're going to get started here okay we're gonna start over here in this corner and again we're gonna spray the slab area this product is also labeled you to spray up the wall area three feet so which is very important because that actually will cover your weep holes especially on a brick home break the brick veneer and we're just going to continue on down this area here making sure that we get nice even coat of our pesticide and we're going to continue to do this all the way down the side of this house and we're just going to make a fine application to the eaves of the house just paying close attention to any areas where the insects can enter the structure okay we finished up this side we've already done the other three sides of the house we're gonna move on over to the yard and take care of some ants alright we finished up going all the way around the house treating the eaves of the house we also treated the foundation around the perimeter of the house that's very important to prevent insects from coming into the structure either through weep holes on a brick veneer home or up underneath the siding area so it's a very effective product long residual there we've also got some issues with some crazy ants and some fire ants in this yard so we're going to use the same product to reclaim my tea and we're going to spray that at a rate of one ounce per thousand square feet we want to use a hose in type sprayer to apply that with and we want to use at least three or four gallons of water per thousand square feet to deliver that one ounce so give me just a minute we're gonna get some mixed up and I'll be right back with you okay I've got my product mixed I'm ready to apply I did my calculations earlier I'm gonna use one ounce per thousand square feet so I've put the proper amount of product in my hose in sprayer I want to use maybe three or four gallons of water to deliver that thousands that one ounce per thousand square feet I'm gonna start applying product in the back corner of the yard and I'm gonna work my way out towards the front it's very important to note that you need to stay off the treated area until the product is dried so we're gonna get started over here and we're using a fan spray on the end of this hose end sprayer and we're just gonna lightly spray the area I know exactly how much product that I need to apply per thousand square feet so keep that in mind as you're applying because you want to make sure that you're applying the proper amount to do the job and we're going to continue on here it's going to take me about 10 minutes to finish this yard up as soon as I finish up I'll be right back with you okay we finished up the house we finished up the yard we've taken care of the the eaves around the perimeter of the home to take care of those insects that may enter through brick veneer weep holes or up underneath the siding on a wood siding house for roaches and ants and things like that we've also treated the turf area for fire ants and for that pesky crazy ant and it also takes care of other insects such as fleas and ticks and chinch bugs and many other insects so remember reclaim i.t produced by solutions self Kim
