today I just wanted to show you quickly how I like to glue my wild rice this is something that I like to include in my salad just about every day and it's a way to include grains without having to cook them so the company that I like to use is the organic wild rice from Lundberg and what I do is I just take about a half a cup of the wild rice and I put it in a 32 ounce mason jar fill it to the top with purified water and then I placed this in my excalibur dehydrator I find that using dehydrator booms the rice quicker than just letting it sit out you can't just let it sit out on your counter for like two to three days and it should but I find that it's quicker through a dehydrator so take out the tradies because it's a nine tray dehydrator and take out the first six or seven trays and then I put this in for about 24 hours out of hundred and five degrees and then we'll take you got overnight it blooms it opens up and tomorrow when it's completed I'll show you how the rice looks and how I use it in different recipes okay so it's been about 24 hours I'm gonna go ahead and show you what my rice looks like after it's been bloomed if you remember yesterday when I had put the rice in the mason jar it filled up to about this point in the jar and after about 24 hours it almost fills up the whole 32 ounce jar from the blooming process so you can see here that it's opened up you can see the white hearts now of the rice and if I leave it in there several more hours it probably will almost fill up to the top and so that's why I filling the whole jar up with water because depending how long you put it in your dehydrator or how long you leave it out on your counter they can fill up to the top so this is what it looks like and I'm going to go ahead and show you how I use this rice once it's been done blooming okay at this point I've already rinsed and drained my rice in the colander so what I like to do after that is add my seasonings in I've already added a little nutritional yeast I'll add a little bit more here to give it that cheesy flavor and then I'll add some soft pepper to it and then you can add dried herbs such as oregano or any type of dried herbs that you prefer depending on what you're gonna be using your rice in and once I've done that I'll put this in my salads or I'll cut up some chopped vegetables and add that in here as well so this really is nice and filling for when you're wanting something a little bit more satiating and it's great for dinner time I go through it rather quickly but it does last a good three to four days in the refrigerator so I hope that you enjoyed this demo on how to bloom wild rice please try this out if you liked this video please like my video and subscribe to my channel for future notifications on the Kindle videos you can also find me at Instagram Facebook Pinterest Twitter all after living nutrition so I again hope that you enjoyed this and until next time enjoy your rice I will see you in my next video
