this episode is brought to you by zazzle.com millions of creators buyers and sellers billions of products use our code every drink 10 save 10% off orders of $50 or more I'm your host Eric somewhere today we're going to make the caribou Lou this recipe was submitted by Kody I don't know Cody you're trying to kill me we got 151 rum so that's 151 proof rum obviously we've got we're using a Malibu Caribbean rum coconut flavor Malibu rum pineapple juice we're gonna garnish it with a big slab of pineapple right off the pineapple tree we've got a Collins glass and we're gonna top it with the pineapple so we'll do that later and when I shake it ice it mix it down our liquor store there are yes there is I believe Gosling's now has a 151 out there so are you serious that would be the stupidest thing we could do so we gonna do that that's awful so there's an ounce in a half that's a lot of 151 now I was I can't read what the real reason is I think it was the flammability but I think that's actually a stop fire no um but I I think I think that's what I heard cuz I said it was to stop you from drinking too much pours out that's probably not really true but I mean it is a good story now we're gonna do a house I feel like I'm gonna address this thing it's just too big you just have to put on some weight probably not advisable not advisable to put on weight to match your shirt yeah get a smaller shirt I believe it so I guess we don't actually have to top it we could we could just put the pineapple juice in here it's just a lot of pineapple juice let's put the icing because I don't want I don't want there to be a fight between how I'm gonna shake this thing with that much pineapple juice you're doing five ounces that's two four come on five like that's sketchy that's tough I really need more ice ready for this shake it up it's nice and foamy where's my glasses well like the squirrel told me this roller so as popular as it was in the early other things they still around early 2000s or so 2003 oh yeah looks like a banana a fire and awesome everything 151 is it always kind of looks like that I know it does you know why because people need masks this stuff you can't put 151 in just a lowball glass unless you're top it's just to light it on fire as for a fact typically 151 is hidden in bananas it's a banana pineapple that's how they smuggle it to the country this is I didn't the bananas they they hide it in bananas and then they hide the bananas oh and a monkey there you go yeah yeah it's got it very nice for now it's pineapple scent because I've got this nice big old garnish on there to really get the get the effect great button gotta tell you it's really pretty good potent um thick thick super thick it is almost like a blended banana however in that little bit of coconut you shouldn't taste anything like a banana gum taste anything I've been it tastes like Vanna being blended not the taste if you can remove the taste from a blended banana or much like a maraschino cherry it's good is this husk of a banana in there but it tastes like a little bit of coconut no banana a little bit of coconut almost got an acid pineapple juice my apple juice so it's a little bit of banana good acid some pineapple juice but the pineapple juice is actually very well masked by 151 so we try that again to say it does finish clean so you're not getting a you're not getting a lingering alcohol taste but it's got very pronounced alcohol almost to the point of sourness because it's just so striking and the sweetness doesn't really counterbalance it the even though Malibu is pretty sweet it's not balanced equally with the amount of parts it the pineapple juice isn't really the most sweetest of juices it's delicious but I don't wouldn't call it sweet so you're getting a good punch in the face from the alcohol on this drink if you're looking for something potent you can probably make it more potent use a little less pineapple juice I wouldn't go Incredible Hulk potent I wouldn't be like oh my god I mean my head is like on fire but it is definitely more than you'd expect from a cocktail that looks subtle and sweet so that is the caribou Lou prepare to have your head 151 to off because this is this is some strong stuff and if you could find other 151 to taste I don't know if you there's a difference between fire and might have to find a warning flammable liquid so there you go I'm your host airshow go check us out on everyday triggers TV check out the caribou Lou if you're looking for a little potent cocktail that's a trick looks like a banana we're teaching you how to drink
