hello everyone this is Robin with my pink Stamper calm and welcome to this Christmas card episode I'm doing for you today I know it's not Christmas it's only September so it's really weird to me to be doing Christmas cards it's like the second day of fall I think but this is the season for you guys to start getting ready for your Christmas cards and order in your product and kind of figuring out what you're going to make so I thought I'd share some ideas with you guys I'm using the greetings from Santa stamp set and that's found in the new holiday catalog on page 11 and I'm using the bundle so I'm using this stamp set but I'm really only using the Merry Christmas out of it but I'm also going to use the framelits here the detailed santa thinlits and they're very very detailed and I'm actually going to be using them with glimmer paper so I'm going to show you how to do that and it does it takes a few minutes to go down it's not one that's going to pop out super easily but that's why I'm using the precision plate with that one I'm also using the new cable knit sweater embossing folder have you guys purchased this yet this is amazing this is not a normal embossing folder I've been working with embossing folders for years I've never seen anything like this it's called the dynamic dynamic I think that's called a dynamic folder because it's like thicker so it's a lot thicker and you get you get more of a / 3d look because it's not so it's just really detailed I'm excited to show you a project with that and then I'm also going to be using this little banner here and this actually comes from the cupcake cupcake cutouts framelits and I just like to show you guys how you can mix and match so as you build your framelit and thin link collection you don't always just have to stay within one one set you can you know use them for different projects and this card I'm making you only need one ink pad and it's a black ink pad so how easy is that okay so we will go ahead and get started and the very first thing I want to do because it takes the longest I'm gonna go ahead and we're going to cut this with this detailed thinlit and then I'm going to do some of it on screen and then some of it I'll do off screen because it does take a few minutes longer than something normally I would pop out of the a thinlit okay so Melissa everything aside and I'm going to be using the Big Shot dye brush with it in just a second I forgot to turn on that light hold on one second okay now I'm all set one of my lights was not turned off on I have this studio lighting in my studio and it has to all be on it give me the the nice and bright lighting for my videos okay so I'm using the Stampin Up Big Shot here which I absolutely love and I'm using it with you can use any platform on the bottom but I'm using it with the precision base plate and I have a promotion going on right now if anybody orders a big shot off of my website and it's my pink Stamper dot stampin'up net I will send you a free precision plate to use with your base plate and I just feel like everybody needs to have a precision plate so anyway that's what I'm offering right now until further notice okay so we're just going to put this on here and I kind of have it framed so this is going to be one of my layers so I already have this piece of red glimmer I have it cut at four inches by five and a quarter and so I kind of want to make sure it'd be nice to use the magnetic plate for this so it doesn't move around but I really need the precision base plate for this so it cuts it nice and precise you know precision so I'm gonna go forward once and then I'm going to go back I'm gonna go back again and then I'm going forward again hopefully doesn't move I don't think it's gonna move hopefully it does where other one didn't I did do a sample of this one okay so you can pull this off and I'll set this aside cuz I don't need this anymore I'm going to do more in just a few minutes okay so basically I'm just going to sit this right on top of here oh I lost a piece of paper and kind of gently rub this across and it kind of there's little holes there's a little pokey hole so you guys see that oh look they just pop right out and it kind of helps the little brush gets in the little pokey holes and it helps it come out easily you can use a little poker too but this is just so much faster okay so I have this off and that was really fast for that and then the dimensionals fell oh my god so this part is the part that might take a little bit of time normally they just kind of fall right out but I'm using a more intricate die this is more detailed and if you look on the back it kind of shows you where they are so I'm going to just really quick turn this off just for a second and I'm going to poke these out and then I'll be right back and we will finish the card but it's really easy you guys could do this on your own you don't need me to demonstrate pushing these out so I'll be right back I have this all ready to go and I just want to let you guys know if you're using the thicker glimmer paper it is a little bit harder to get it out of the intricate spaces it's not as hard when you're using just regular cardstock so this does take a few more minutes then planned so plan on a few extra minutes making that one okay so now let's pull out our Big Shot and we're going to take the little scrap of white that I have and I can use the precision for this as well if I want okay so I'm going to just put this on here and then I'm going to use the little frame or the little banner that comes in the cupcake cutouts I'm just going to put this right on here and I'm going to put the sandwich plate on top of it just run it through and then now while I have my Big Shot out I'm gonna go ahead and do my embossing as well so I'm using tab 1 on the old platform the new platform you can just take the top off and I have it I just keep forgetting to pull it out ok so now this I went ahead and just just pop it out we're gonna be using this in just a few minutes we're gonna stamp on that and set all of our framelits aside ok now we are going to take our piece of cardstock and I have this cut at four by five and a quarter it's the same size as the glimmer paper and I want it to go like up and down so you can go this way or you can go this way I want it to do this way and it looks like a sweater it's the coolest thing so all of you knitters this is definitely one that you'll want to add to your collection okay so this is because it's a dynamic one you don't have to do the sandwich plate on the top and the bottom you just do one on the top because it's so thick and just roll it through and that's all of the embossing cutting that we're doing for this project and now when you open it up look at that isn't that just gorgeous look at that and you can see it so well even on a video you can see how well it embosses it's just amazing now we can start putting the card together and I'm going to just turn this over on the back and I'm using the fast fuse for this you could probably just use your snail as well I'm just using it because it's a little bit more sticky and permanent and I want it to stick to the cable-knit a little bit better here's a little trick the adhesives a little bit larger so you just kind of rub it in and so you can't see it on the front side and I'll do a little bit more on this I do the same thing whoops can't really check it off when I'm using such a small area just make sure it's not showing on the other side and then I'll do the same thing on the bottom you can also use a liquid glue if you want and now I'm going to put this on it should be the exact same size as the paper so I can kind of just measure that play with it so it goes on perfect and it should just cover that up isn't that fun let me zoom in so you guys can see isn't that so cool so Santa has the sweater behind it for some texture and now I'm going to take I thought it looked I tried it with a bunch of different colors but I really liked how it looked with the basic black cardstock and this is cut at five and a half by eight and a half so it's a basic piece of cardstock cut in half at five and a half so you can do two cards with one sheet of card stocks two card bases and I'm using my Stampin Up bone folder to get a nice tight crease type fold and so now let's go ahead and I'm just using the regular adhesive for this I'm gonna do all four sides because I do it is a nice embossed piece of paper if you don't do all four sides it's going to get Wiggly and you don't want it to get Wiggly so let's put this right on here and there should be enough for a little border of black and then I get the question all the time what are you gonna do on the inside because you're using a dark color paper well you have two options you can either use we have a white signal gel pen that you can use or what I like to do is just stick another piece of cardstock this is four by five and a quarter and I just stick it in here and then I don't have to write as much either I can just write the amount that's on this card right alright so now we have this and we're not done we're gonna take this little banner that we have here we're gonna stamp Merry Christmas in black because I wanted to pull out the black since I'm using the black as a base I wanted to pull out black somewhere on the card either as an embellishment or something like that but I'm going to just do it with the black ink so we're gonna stamp Merry Christmas right on here perfect and save your little scraps of your glimmer and I'll show you why well plus it's kind of pricey who want to save every little scrap you can so here's a little scrap of the glimmer and I'm using just a regular Stampin Up just continued that this 1/4 hole punch but I think most of you guys have hole punches around your house we're just going to punch 2 hole punches there we go and then I'm going to use these as an accessory there we go and they fit perfectly with a glue dot so I have a glue dot here just going to stick them right on top of a glue dot right here if I can do it with my okay nope I can do it I promise you get my nails done it's been like it's been like four weeks since I've had them done so they're getting a little too long for me for comfort okay I'm gonna put one right there and I'm gonna stick the other one right there and then I'm just going to peel them off and I'm gonna put them as embellishments right here not done yet try to glue on my finger silly glue dot take the other one and another fun thing to do is I'm not done just yet with that I'm going to take some of our rhinestones and I'm going to take the the medium size so it's the second size from the biggest one I'm just going to put it right on top of that just to give it a little bit more of a bling bling bling bling look you can kind of move it around a little bit so it's on there isn't it so pretty this is just a really it's an easy card I mean I think the hardest part for this card was just taking the time to get all the little pieces out of it but it's worth it once you finish it up okay now we're going to turn this over and I'm going to use some stamping dimensionals which I love I'm using three so you guys use as many as you want I'm just gonna do one two and three and then peel the backing off and these backing seriously get everywhere I'm not kidding the other day I was doing something my closet floor or something I was doing my makeup or something I was sitting on the floor and I looked down and there was the back of one of these in my closet floor in my master bedroom not even near my craft room okay so we're gonna stick the banner on top of this and oh my goodness you guys seriously this card is Gor just and I'm not even kidding I went down and I showed my husband when I finish making it he's not a card maker but I'm like isn't this just gorgeous and it's so sparkly with that Gollum or paper so I hope you guys enjoyed my card card today have a Merry Christmas in three months if you have any questions you can contact me at my pink Stamper at gmail.com all of this
