Please explain how to make pistachio cookies : cookie delights

hi I'm Ana Maria de Freitas owner of the Harrison house Suites the Tucker House Inn and coho restaurant and Friday Harbor San Juan Island today I'm gonna demonstrate how to make a pistachio cookie so I'm going to start with a cup of butter cup of sugar and three ounces of cream cheese so we want to cream that until combined I'm gonna drop it in egg yolk sure everything gets mixed up properly and then to that I'm gonna add a half a teaspoon of salt and two and a half cups of all-purpose flour and then I'm gonna sprinkle in my pistachios I'm gonna do this in little bits because it's a lot cheaper as I suspected it's a lot to get mixed up I always forget what your kitchen I'm in in which size food processor I I'm working with then we'll sprinkle some more in in total I'm going to be adding a cup of pistachios and it looks like it's well combined actually let's give it another quick mix okay and I have some Saran here this is gonna go in the fridge I'm gonna create a log and we're gonna chill it for at least a couple hours so you can actually make nice slices like I have on the cookies that are pretty baked great flavor of pistachio I'm gonna just smell it permeating the air here it's gonna shape this into a log at this point you can freeze it freeze it so if you wanted to get your holiday cookies started in advance you can get the dough started freeze it and then just take them out and bake them and then this is gonna go in the refrigerator for at least a half hour to an hour until you can actually slice it and it doesn't mush and it kind of stays nice and disk-like then you're gonna put it in an oven at 350 for about 10 to 12 minutes until they till the edges become slightly golden brown and you have little fissures that form on the face of the cookies these are a lovely tea cookie I hope you enjoy pistachio cookies buon appetito
