hi there today i'm going to show you how to make a peruvian paloma for those that are familiar with the palomar you probably know it's a tequila-based cocktail grapefruit soda or a squeeze of fresh lime great for instant season so i'm going to make it fresh so why is it peruvian it's because we're using pisco rather than the tequila for this cocktail recipe i'm going to be using encanto pisco it's sustainably sourced it's run many awards there's no additives no added sugar no added waters distilled ones so to start with i'm going to grab my boston glass i'm only going to half fill with ice next i want to add my ingredients so i'm going to start with the pisco that's 45 mils next up we have a squeeze of lime juice five mils and i'm going to add some sugar so this is just equal parts sugar water 15 mls and i've got about 30 or 40 mils of freshly squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice and give those a firm shake then i want to grab my eyeball glass and half fill this with ice i'm going to grab a hawthorne strainer into the top of stainless tin strain and this should only go half to three quarters of the glass reason being is we're going to top it up with soda i'm going to keep the garbage simple one of the main flavors being the rubio grapefruit so just add the grapefruit to the drink and a couple of straws let's give it a try wow really refreshing it's well balanced with the the sugar the lime and the bitterness of the grapefruit this works surprisingly well with pisco give it a try try it at home and leave a comment below let me know how you go and see if you're a fan i am
