Please explain how to make burnt-out, brown grass into a lush, green lawn

hi this is Marty from Blue Lightning TV I'm going to show you a quick tip on how to transform any burnt-out brown grass into a beautiful lush green lawn make a copy of your image by pressing ctrl J on a PC or command J on a Mac open your brush tool and make sure your foreground and background colors are black and white respectively if they aren't click on the small double box icon click on the quick mask button and choose a relatively small brush size with a zero percent hardness and a hundred percent opacity brush over the edges of the lawn and make sure there are no empty spaces or holes in your brush strokes open your paint bucket tool and click inside the lawn to fill it in with a quick mask press B to open your brush again and brush over the soft line that the quickmask didn't fill in when you're done press Q to make the quickmask into a selection and invert it by pressing ctrl shift I on a PC or command shift I on a Mac click on the layer mask button to make a layer mask of the selection next to the copy and click on the adjustment layer button choose hue/saturation click on the clip to layer icon this restricts the adjustment layer to only affect the layer below it and not all the layers in the layers panel for this image I'll choose 70 for hue to make it less bright click on the adjustment layer again and this time choose brightness and contrast click on the clip to layer icon and reduce the brightness to taste if you want to adjust the color make the hue/saturation adjustment layer active and simply slide the hue back and forth a little to give the lawn a warmer or cooler cast using these simple techniques you can transform any burnt-out brown grass into a beautiful lush green lawn this is Marty from Blue Lightning TV thanks for watching
