so we don't cut this bit of the grass because well a kind of this bit is like a communal garden area that we share and secondly it's actually really nice to let some of the grass just grow then you get these lovely wild flowers that come up another gorgeous day here today and the new answer a question from Jerry who asked me how I go about keeping the saxophone maintains and cleaning the sax so I brought my alto outside mainly because I don't want to risk priceless mark 6 the truth is I don't spend a lot of time cleaning my Sox film now the winds get I don't spend a lot of times it because in my experience personally when I spent a lot of time Meza and cleaning it I'm just procrastinating from practice I'm playing in those kind of things but the one thing I really do try and keep clean is my mouth interpret realize I've left away from zero I've left my mouthpiece brush downstairs but I don't use it that often I use these that's bacterial wipes I mean we've got a pedal bit on the book they're really good they're about three pounds per pocket and the pocket lasts about six months if not longer and literally all I do is put the ante back wipe through the end of the mouthpiece down there just give the inside a good clean-out make sure I don't get it stuck stay with yeah it's tough isn't it there we go and I just pull it through give the in size a bit of a clean and let it air-dry the neck as well I tend to do a similar thing with this I just get a hold of it sometimes you use the mouthpiece brush for this just get down in the Sun to bacterial white its wrists around and they're not really that important in their book down there now in this book which is superb by Stephen Howard he's got loads of different cleaning techniques including one that involves vinegar on the neck I've done it's good the problem is you suck swell smells like a fish and chip shop the weeks afterwards but it did make a difference and yeah this is more authoritative than I am in terms of cleaning and maintaining the saxophone but I'm just showing you today what I do and then finally the other thing I do is I have some lacquer polish and get this on Amazon or from music shops I mean I still do it on my 16 wears very little lacquer on it and I literally just take this microfiber cloth opened down the saxophone on the body particularly watching canid this area of the Bell where a lot of spit can gather and you can get them especially he goes around there especially on a of gold black a saxophone you can get a lot of spittle buildup on this end of the hall so I just give it run over and on the inside have you made that ask you a son stew you're gonna have that for lunch I was just playing along with you take a bit of care cleaning the top of the finger holes you know and you can clean the tone holes with some blotting paper and things but I just tend to give it also the great thing about doing it in good daylight is you don't see all the qubits me you can see down there I'll just come out a little bit angle the camera base is a little bit of corrosion on this bottom key yeah basically all I'm doing with it is giving it a rubdown with life deposit on the inside we're just making sure as well while I'll often do as well as get the G sharp key clean cut off in this fort old holders the shooter so now the best way to clean this is actually with a five-pound note well I don't have any on me at the moment this is the most important thing keeping the mouthpiece clean and the neck and then the rest of time just kind of general looking after a bit of like a polish of the cloth I wouldn't necessarily do much more than that but if you wanted to there's plenty of tips in this book well I suppose it'd be transparent wall engineer
