so obviously done the dog biscuit video and I'm also going to do the bird feeder video so as many of you know it's going to be the bird watch and next weekend and with your RSPB pack it comes with a recipe for making some bird feeders so what you will need is some allowed wild bird seeds some grated cheese some form of yogurt pops to act as a mold and some string or dental floss I'm not strong enough and then you put it into so it just set and you can hang it off and and a bowl to mix it all up him so I'm going to make a star I was hoping the kids are going to do a bit with me which they might join in late chest so I'm going to do one and then we'll see about the kids doing another one I feel really rude up there look I'm back here so that's what we're going to be able to so first things first is gonna need some birds like cheese especially this time of year when it's colder and his last trip for them to pick out if the grounds frozen and obviously it's good source of protein and fat for them and I'm not a big a knowledgeable person on birds but it's something that I'm trying to learn more about and so that's what we're going to do right back onto the bird feeder so grated the cheese now and I cut off earlier because I got a phone call and so great some cheese I've got my pots ready and I've got to make a hold of these and I've just been reading the instructions so you get your pack from the RSPB and it's got lots of information in it so you have a letter about what it's all about you get a calendar I'll show you this calendar you don't have to pack a little bit halfway through you get a calendar which is right here and it's got different things for different day ago we should be doing so show me where each how's about making that bit of seed phobia all right said and if your hedges need trimming do it after the birds of each and the domains but before the nesting season so for a practical calendar with some good advice on it and get your guide to the big bird watch as well and it says which birds can we see now this is the important thing and telling you what each bird is and what you've got on look out for like me you don't actually know your birds and very well it's a good guy just tell you what you're looking for and then also comes with if she took off and sent back to them which I took off which ones you've seen harmony and then you send this back to them and there's also a section here for other animals so I know that in our garden and we definitely have squirrels I've seen hedgehogs and running down the road and around the area we've got foxes so I can take all of those and what this does it allows them to correlate information to see what birds are doing well what are present in what areas so it's a really useful tool it's no different to like any other sense this it's there to gather information to help with research very excited and it comes with and a recipe card once the biscuits and cakes for ourselves to eat and one for making your fat bird feeders which is what we're going to do so it says you will need yogurt pot string scissors Cerrito large mixing bowl birdseed raisins grated cheese and anyways actually probably the covered in a minute and have a look and it tells you step-by-step how to do it so make a hole in the bottom of the pot thread the string through the hole with a knot and you've got to make sure you you laddies warm or you still it's warm otherwise it's not really pliable I've used a screwdriver to make a hole in the bottom it says scissors but these were quite tough so I couldn't quite get through he using a thin yogurt pop and then it'll be a bit easier I think through my string through and I'm just going to make a knot at this side I'm gonna make a double knot just to make sure it doesn't come back out so that goes on the inside and then he'll say once you've taken it out that's gonna be the top of you your lad cake could you go out and take them out the pot and that's what you're gonna hand on the tree that's good man I have found some raisins so let's get to it so what do we need to do see there so I'm gonna go tomorrow this is gonna be the messy part which is where the kids come in mind the busy today and I think a bit worried about getting cameras are juicing with them off camera I'm gonna get some like this which is quite malleable quite viable I'm gonna put that in there and then I'm gonna take some reason let's scatter those in then sprinkle the cheese like so I'm not sure that there's no actual measurements I don't think pushy together and just like that Hansen get it all needed together and then you'll know if you need to add more hopefully attract to the garden I do already have a peanut feeder out in the back garden and along with they're all the plants and everything else which they love because we have so that's much actually quite a nice big fat over little seed in there maybe needs to hold together doesn't it so I'm not sure okay let's still actually yeah I'm gonna risk you I'm gonna put a bit more [Applause] don't actually smell very pleasant oh so it's very sensory but if your children like and getting the hands into things because it's soft but it's grainy and smooth so you could also use is it a lesson about talking about sensory and processing and things so how what do you feel does it nice as it's soft is it the you could do lots of talking about it what birds II why it's good for them why it's important you can really use this opportunity to educate children and more about wildlife and why it's important and then you mold it into your pot like so I think I'm doing this right making very squelchy and then after that you pop it in your fridge and for a couple of hours just set the lad back up and then it will come out the pot so once it comes out the pot and you hang it by its string but that's it a bird feeder and so I'll come back and I'll show you when it comes out the fridge in a couple of hours time and but for now that they're aging when I begun again not that's really rude of me and I'm Amanda from AJ's allotment and this is how to make bird feeders before I go though I would like to say a massive massive thank you to Amanda's allotment again and following on from I think she said petals and paving slabs about trying to get all smaller youtubers to get our subscribers up and and you know it has really risen thanks to that I've got a few I'm a long way off getting to the the mark where I'd like to be but I can only work on my channel and and do what I can do but please leave these please remember to like and subscribe and share and I'll catch you all soon hopefully up the plot for now I'll catch you later and I'll show you it these at the end squish it with the other one I was put into the most decided to drag yourself away from your laptop it's a weekend and she can't bother to get dressed or anything like that she got a new laptops for her birthday the other day yeah 7:10 so she's decided actually she's gonna have a go and drag herself away and I thought all the opportunity to film it oh nice so how's it going with it round Bowl to pickle it move speed up now sit up a bit and then start pushing it into into here push it right to the bottom so it's zoomed in all the way a bit more is it easy to make would you say they're quite easy for people to dare yeah Jackie Maximus you could follow the instructions to do yourself yeah it isn't it my is birds important do you think you should find out the important part and each family part of the ecosystem protecting others is important right so I have let this chill in the fridge for several hours now and it's still a little bit soft but I'm gonna undo it I'm gonna see if it's worked so just give it a little squeeze and a chat see okay I'm going to pull it through like that and there we go yeah with our bird feeder ready to go on the tree simple as that so then the birds can get chowing down and have something really nice to eat through the winter so that's our finished product and maybe make sure in which we haven't make sure string goes through the middle and you give it enough space just it in and this is gonna be a little bit lopsided I think it could have never done with a bit longer but yeah there you go so that's how to make a bird feeder and I'll finish it there please remember to like and subscribe as I said earlier it's so important to me and I'll catch you all again
