[MUSIC PLAYING] RACHEL: Hi, everyone. It's Rachel from the YouTube
channel Simply Duck Designs. So graduation is coming up. And I love how everyone is
decorating their graduation caps. So today, we're
going to be making a musical-themed grad cap with
our glitter tape and our duck tape. So the supplies you will
need are a craft knife, nonstick scissors, a ruler,
glitter tape, and duck tape, and a graduation cap. So the first thing
we're going to do is take our graduation cap here. And then I'm going to
grab my black duck tape. And we're going to just
cover this entire thing. So I'm just going to leave
a little bit all around to overlap. So now when you get
to the middle here, I'm just going to cut a
half piece, just like that. And then I'm going to cut a
little circle in the middle here. That's about the
size as your button. And put this under here. And just smooth that down. And do the same thing
for the other side. And then just smooth
that out once again. And then continue
to cover the rest. Just like that. And now, we just want
to flip this over. And I'm just going to cut on the
inside here, on these corners, so we can fold over these edges. So just continue to do
that the whole way around. Actually, I have one that's
already done, right here. And then you want to make sure
to clean this up a little bit. Cut out some more shapes. Just to lay them down around
the grad cap and it'll just make it look a lot cleaner. So you want to make sure
that your button is not covered because this
is, of course, where you put your tassel on. So now, I'm just going to start
taking my glitter tape here and cut off a piece
that is just as long as my graduation cap here. I'm going to grab my
ruler and my craft knife. I'm going to cut out a strip
that is a eighth of an inch. And if you need to make them a
little wider, you totally can. Just be very careful when
you're doing this part. I'm just going to peel up. And then I'm just going to
place it right at the bottom here, just like so. If you have the
extra on the sides, you can just go ahead
and cut that off. And you just want to make
sure that you repeat this until you're at the
top of your grad cap. And then, I actually have
one already done here. So now we're just going to
move on to the music notes that we're going to be making. So now, I'm just going to bring
in my gold glitter tape here and I'm just going
cut off a strip. Doesn't need to be
any particular size. And now, I'm going to bring in
my wax paper, which I actually just trace some notes onto here. And you guys can also print
it out or freehand this. And then I'm just
going to cut out some small pieces of duck tape. And this is just going to help
us hold that piece of paper down. And then, you just want to cut. Just be very slow and
very careful with this. Just want to make sure
you take your time. You can take this off and
move everything to the side, and then just peel the
rest of this glitter up. You just will take that off. And I'm just going to
stick this on right here. And then I actually
have some premade. And I also cut these
out of duck tape sheets. So that can be very
helpful as well. So this is how my
graduation cap turned out. I did musical notes,
but let us know what you guys did on your
graduation cap in the comments below. Thank you guys for watching. Duck brand is launching a brand
