today we're continuing our series on ornaments that you can make at home using our clear ornaments this is the three and a quarter inch size comes in a box of four here at runners we also have the two and 7/8 inch size that come in a box of eight today we've taken some pieces of crayon and we've decided to go with just red and green but you can do any color combination you want cut and break them into small pieces if you're doing with this with the kids you'll they'll need a little help with this working with a knife breaking up the cutting out breaking up the crayons and then also with a blow-dryer because it does get hot you could probably try a work glove that might work well because your hand is going to get really hot as you're working with the blow dryer we started our ornament and you can see how you start the pieces of wax start to melt and you start to get a pattern in your ornament so we're just going to continue we're using a element just to give us a little bit of protection from the heat once you get your pieces of wax hot in your ornament you can tip it around swish it around it's a good idea that once you have plenty of pieces of wax in before you start that you glue your cap just a little rim of a hot glue around the top of the ornament and then glue your cap on for a little extra security and just be really careful doing that because the opening of the ornament is sharp usually a little rough you see you can kind of get your mix and get your pattern and I'm at a pretty good spot now where I like a little bit of the clear glass showing in places so I'm gonna going to finish right there and you have your ornament then you just want to let it sit and cool for a few minutes and it's ready to go on your treat
