filet mignon is the king of steak and it deserves a regal method of preparation I like to see a roasted here's how we do it preheat the oven to 300 degrees next we're going to heat up our pan blot the fillets dry with a clean paper towel lightly oil the steaks generously coat them with seasoning put a little oil in the pan put the filet in the pan sear them for two to three minutes on the first side once they're nice and brown we flip them over and then immediately put them in our 300 degree oven now these fillets here are about an inch and a half thick so they're gonna take about 13 to 16 minutes to get a perfect medium-rare the handle the pan is going to be really hot carefully pull the pan out of the oven let the steak rest for five minutes so the juices will redistribute before we enjoy this steak
