hey guys what's going on this is Ryan Fenner's welcome back to the fender tainment channel today's video we're going to be doing the glitter ombre effect using the oven method for baking the cups using raw solium paints and rust-oleum clear we're also going to be revealing the first layer of paint for the monogram shake this right here out if you like this alright guys in order to get started we painted this cup with this gloss rust-oleum teal to begin with my wife wanted an ombre color effect with a monogram showing this base color showing through the secondary color I did a video on that previously and I'll link it to the end of this video here after we have the base color on we stick it in the oven at 200 degrees for a total of 45 minutes to let it cure once the base color has cured and cooled off to where you can handle it we went ahead and apply the monogram grabbed our second coat of our different color and started the ombre effect once we're happy with the ombre effect we put it back in the oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees once the second color has cured and cooled off to touch we went ahead and removed the monogram then we started spraying the cup with spray glitter by rust-oleum and just misting it on once we do this we go ahead and put the cup back in the oven for an additional 20 minutes at 200 degrees alright once this brake glitter has cured and cooled off enough we go ahead and hit the cup up with some 2x gloss clear by rust-oleum we put it back in the oven at 200 degrees 5 minute intervals so we put in there for 5 minutes take it out let it cool I shot another coat of clear coat on there put it in there for 5 minutes take it out let it cool next I brought the cup back inside and grab some 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper I tore off a little edge of it and I wet sanding the entire cut when you wet saying you're not taking off a whole lot of material you're basically taking off the very top portion and you're giving it a very smooth coat once we have the entire cup wet sanded we'll go ahead and dry it off place it back on the stand shoot another code of clear put it back in the oven for five minutes at 200 degrees and let it cure once that's done we go ahead and take it out let it cool off and we're done before handling these cups I'm using this laser digital thermometer I'll put a link in the description where you can find this for under 20 bucks it sure helps out a lot again i'm ryan finners and you've been watching the thin attainment channel if you haven't please subscribe and check out these other great videos also drop a like it lets me know that you appreciate these videos and you want me to make more again guys thanks we'll see you later
