hello my crafty friends welcome to origami tree i'm jenny and today i'm going to show you how to make a tree from paper bags but before we begin be sure to leave a comment letting me know what you'd like to see next and also be sure to check out the tutorial for the origami leaves as well if you want to make some leaves for your tree to make the paper bag tree of course you're going to need a paper bag and also a pair of scissors so the first thing you want to do is you want to take your pair of scissors and you want to cut a couple of strips across the length of it so you're just going to go like that now i made a total of eight cuts but you can make more or less depending on your personal preference and now basically what you want to do is you want to put this flat surface over here down and then you want to fold this over to the side so that you have a nice crease on the other side so there's a crease right here now and then after that you want to grab at the bottom with your fist so i'm going to grab that right there and give it a little squeeze now this doesn't have to be perfect because that is not what we're going for but you just want to crunch it up a little bit so that it looks like that and once you do that you want to give it a little twist and at the same time i'm going to be pushing downwards at the table so that there's always a flat surface right there alright so now you have something that looks like this i know it looks really really messy but i promise it's going to look good at the very end so now you want to take some of these frays here the branches and i'm just going to grab two of them and you want to give it a little twirl with your fingers like that and again it doesn't have to be perfect it is fall so you know the branches are a little wonky and then go ahead and repeat the same thing with the remaining branches and that is how you make a tree from a paper bag and you can make some origami leaves as well to glue them onto the tree but i sort of like the tree bear so i'm gonna leave it like that and have the leaves on the ground as a display piece thank you so much for watching be sure to hit the subscribe button right over there and also to check out the origami leaf tutorial if you want to make some leaves for your paper tree leave a comment letting me know what you'd like to see next and i'll see you soon bye
