what we're doing on the homestead today is for making well actually I'm going to be making about a hundred of these popsicle reindeers and basically what you do is you take some popsicle sticks you arrange so I'm gonna make it look like a face and a reindeer you know what I'm gonna do is I'm actually I'm not decorating all hundred what I'm going to do is I'm gonna make the frames for a hundred of them between tonight and tomorrow night and Thursday night for a priority that we're having for the community like I don't know if I told my viewers but I'm in a program to take care of people with special needs or any kind of physical disabilities or because that's what I'm passionate about in life I like to volunteer I like to help people so we're having a Christmas party for that and since hot glue is what you hold them together with or at least that's what I find she holds the popsicle sticks together what we're doing is we're going to build a frame it that way for when the people come to the party they can decorate them with like pom-poms they can glue the eyes on they can I'm gonna make some cranberry mistletoe kinda like decorations and I'm gonna make some top hats for the decoration basically different things so what you're gonna need to do and I'm gonna also make some antlers and I'm gonna show you in the video how I'm gonna make all this so you're gonna need some popsicle sticks you're gonna need some googly eyes you're gonna need some pom-poms for the nose the color doesn't really matter I'm going to knock glue on the nose on all hundred of them I'm gonna loudly the people to pick out the nose and let them put their own sense of individuality into their own reindeer nose so you're gonna need a piece of paper to outline like a cranberry leaf I'm not a great jar so don't so don't hate on me for it and you're gonna need some red for the obviously cranberries and you're gonna need some string to connect to it to hold on to the tree and of course if you want to like paint them or color them you're gonna need some of that as well so the first thing we're gonna do is we're going to glue the popsicle sticks together so I'm gonna do that and clear all this off and I'll bring you back in a sec as we're making them we're gonna make a V shape first so a little dab of glue right there of course it doesn't want to participate with me it's like no I don't want you to video of me making this and it almost ran away that's a joke I don't really think my popsicle sticks almost ran away and then you're just going to lay one right there so we're just gonna put a dab of glue right here and a dab right there and you're gonna be careful not to burn yourself and this is why we're doing this part because this is the part that you get burnt at so we're just gonna let that dry and it's gonna take a few minutes and I'll bring it back once we have our frame for our reindeer heads dried what we're gonna do is we're going to put on the face and that's just going to be pom-pom for the nose now as you can see pom poms come in all different sizes and colors whatever just ones you want to use you can use and now we're just gonna put the eyes on and they the same with the eyes they come in all different shapes and sizes I'm going to use the middle size eyes for these ones and you're gonna Charlie get burnt because it is ha clone it really sucks getting burnt so there we have that so we're just gonna let that dry then we're going to put a tag on it to hang it up and we're also going to put on antlers and we're gonna make those that a pipe cleaner so once that's dry were you back so now I'm going to attach my antlers on there and how I'm going to start off with that is I'm just going to take the pipe cleaner and I'm just gonna wrap that around there and I'm just gonna twist it for the sharp edge kind of is hidden for now and pokes their finger so there we have that and I only need it to be about yay long sorry I'm just gonna cut that and then I'm gonna take another color just make it stand out a bit more and you start about here twist then you bend this up just to give it like that pitchfork look but it's more like an antler look shouldn't call it a pitchfork and then you cut that right there see there's one antler now you can shape it and do whatever you do once it's on there you can trim it up you can if you don't like the way it looks fine one side looks different than the other but overall it'll be alright so we're just gonna move on to the second side that one's too short I'm pretty think let's try it I think it's too short yeah I think so no I might get away with it let's see yeah I can get away with using that if I can get away with using something a little shorter I'll do it because it'll save you cost and also it's a good way to uh use as much as your supplies as you can't I fell off I probably should use another one that's a song I may use another one that's exactly what that was so we're gonna start off with this one okay so we're gonna cut that get ahead our red back on beautiful a little bit more so there's the antlers and now we're just gonna take a little piece of string probably about three inches long put a little glue dab on there in the back maybe stick that in the glue and then they're dry so once I have the different designs and the different colors I'm gonna bring you back and show you what they all look like so what we're gonna do now is I want to make a few of my reindeers have life's all about choices and promoting independence so I want to make a few different outfits or things for the reindeers to wear hats different kind of hats and stuff like that for the guests at the party can pick whatever the reindeer use so I'm just going to draw a little hash again my drawings not this is just like kind of like a pattern for like little hat so we're just gonna go I guess something like that yeah that's terrible that's a Santa hat like that and then a pompom at the end of it like a white pom-pom yeah so I'm just gonna cut that out and I'll bring it back now that we have our pattern traced out what we're gonna do is just to err a little sheriffy we're gonna put it on some felt oat liners and then we're gonna cut it out so I'll bring it back once I had to cut it after you cut your pattern out we're gonna attach it to the frame of the reindeer head and how we're gonna do that is we're just gonna take a little line here and we're gonna put one yeah halfway up so kind of like a V here and then we're gonna take our little hat and you're gonna want to be careful not to get burnt and we're just gonna lay it out like that and it's gonna drive now what we're gonna do is we're gonna take a little white pom-pom we're gonna attach it at the end of the Hat right there they're beautiful if you wanted to use a bigger pom-pom and attach it that it touches right here that's fine now we're gonna put two eyes on them now for this guy we're gonna put a black nose on him I guess for whatever color you want that's the great thing about crafts it can be whatever you want it to be so as you can see there's a little bit of stragglers of loose glue and the good thing about that is once it cools down you can just pull it off like strings no big deal no big deal okay so we're going to use some pipe cleaner now I'm using white because I want to use white we're gonna measure that out so right there cut that actually I got a double it so it's two so I'm gonna cut that right there so there we have that so we're just gonna put a bead of glue down right there but I twist the ends here though for it's connected just for it's not uh and I'm gonna fold it in just like this twist and fold just for the points aren't stuck out you wouldn't want somebody to play with here or even pick it up and get something poked in their finger so you want to make sure all the little points are pointed in and tucked in for they don't hurt anybody so now that we have that done what we're gonna do is just gonna take a bead of glue and then we're just going to get that on the beautifully it just adds some prettiness to the decoration just right and now you can use any color you want the next ones we're gonna make are going to be green I'm just going to use the same patter and I'm gonna make elf elf ones and instead of pom-pom at the end that's just going to be I guess I could put a pom-pom but why bother so I'm just gonna make a couple of green ones and I'll bring it back I just wanted to show the finished product as you can see you can make them very different you can use mistletoe you can use elf hats you can use Santa hats you can use top hats whatever you want to do so like subscribe and thanks for watching so I just wanted to show this is what
