now today we'll be siphoning gas for my 73 240z and there are a number of ways to do this but the technique I like is using what dry vac some two big vinyl tubing in this case half-inch and some rags t-shirts would I be applying around now the first step is regarding the hose just make sure it's not in the inlet Inlet is the vacuum function you want this out okay so when you turn on the wet/dry vac it's going to be blowing air instead of a vacuum function and that's what you want now with the other end of the hose just insert the vinyl tubing and then grab it cloth your rag the point here is you want to prevent in the air from escaping it so in other words when you turn on the wet/dry vac you want as much air as possible to be escaping from the end of the tube so just do your best the best job you can just plugging up this hole okay they take the tubing coming from the end of the wet/dry vac insert it into the tank and then your other end this is your other vinyl tubing in this case you'll insert that into the tank as far as it goes and then of course the opposite end goes right into the fuel tank now same technique here you want to use a rag you want to use a t-shirt just something to block all the air from escaping ok turn on the wet/dry vac and you'll see the fuel siphon right out as a safety check just to show you how much gasoline is removed right here this vehicle is fortunate enough to have a drain a drain plug right underneath the fuel tank and there you go as you can see nothing comes out so this really extracts all of the gasoline from the fuel tank so as always thank you for watching and we'll see you next time
