Please explain how to paint your adobe house :: ark scorched earth :: nine new adobe paint schemes :: unitetheclans

what is going on guys unite the clans here back in your life and this is a custom building episode what you see behind me are 14 almost identical houses the seven on the right are identical in the seven on the Left are identical and today we are going to be playing around with paint schemes the Adobe materials are brand new to Ark and I'm sure you guys want to know how to get a good looking color combination on your house so that is what we are gonna do today I am equipped with brushes and with sprayers and we're gonna try out some colors on these little houses and I'm gonna come back with you when I find some good ones all right guys so welcome back this is the first paint scheme I have done now all the houses on the right side here are built in the traditional way with the standard Adobe texture facing out and then on this side I flipped everything so all the walls have the inner wood texture showing and you get a very different look you get a lot more variation in color compared to this one but I've done both these in the same color scheme and the two primary colors are tan and forest green and that is one look you can get the tan is much lighter than your basic Adobe and the green is a nice color to offset it so what I did and the general concept I had going for this guy's is to paint the wood green and to keep the Adobe in the tan color now there are a few exceptions I didn't do my door completely green or my window completely green I just did some highlights on the window was the top and the bottom on the door it was the back boards and the handle and I really like how it turned out so let's change time of day all right and here is the alternate one no for this one I used the flip key to flip all these pieces and this is the color scheme you got I did the same thing and went and got the green one thing to note is when I first painted the walls tan the wood on the actual walls didn't change color it did for the door frames and the window frames but the actual walls when you paint them completely in ten the wood is actually a bit of a weird color so here let's take a look I'll paint it like that and you'll see if I do the same thing on this wall the wood actually goes tan over here it doesn't so that's something to keep in mind the tan doesn't seem to transfer but if you want it in the tan and green this is the color scheme and frankly I think it looks pretty boss on to the second color scheme alright guys round two this is brick and olive I did roughly the same paint scheme as before mix up a few little details but I think it turned out pretty good now this is one of those ones where the walls won't take color on the wood part so I tried to dye these into the olive green they won't work some colors seem to others don't and I'm sure it's a bug they will patch but for now just keep that in mind that some colors will not transfer onto the wood part now on this house it's a little more obvious because it's on the outside luckily for us it's at the back let me get a little daylight on here there we go we got some daylight and this is how it looks in the flipped version so you've got a lot more wood exposed than this but I think honestly that they both feel good I like this color combo and it's time to figure out a third one I hope I can figure out seven by the time we get to the end of this okay guys color scheme number three white and black I did the Adobe in the white and the wood in the black and you can take a look as we circle around and how it came out I kind of like it playing around with these I tried first the black on the Adobe and the white on the wood and I think this is the better version let's take a look at the inside out version of this house so here we go this is the inside out version it actually gets a bit of a Tudor look to it with the white in the background and the black cross beams it does remind me of that style if it wasn't Adobe but honestly I like how this one has turned out and it's time to figure out a fourth color scheme to show you guys all right time for version four now this is a twist on this while this one was done in white and black I did this one in this late gray and the silver and it actually comes out almost more of a black and white now something to keep in mind silver seems to be one of those colors that won't transfer to the wood at least right now but this is the scheme you get it is quite different from what you had and honestly this bright bright silver any color in the background subtly would look good with that crisp crisp white now let's take a look at the other side then on inside-out version so here it is guys black where the white was but slate and silver where the black was instead of white so that's how we're looking and once again the other side looks a bit weird I suppose with without the paint transferring you get that wood color on the inside here but I think it's something I can live with at least for now and I think that's how that house is gonna look I kind of like it alright now we've been playing with some black and white versions so time to get back into the rich rich color and that's what I will be doing in the next round color scheme number five so guys this is cantaloupe on the Adobe and cyan on the wood and cyan is one of my favorite colors to use with this I've painted whole buildings in cyan before and I will see if I can get to a color scheme that does that as well but this is the version syan is another color that clearly it's not that it's not taking to the wood here it's just that it's taking differently than it does to the door and the window frames oh and we've got this slightly the wrong color let's fix that there we go so cantaloupe on all the Adobe cyan where the wood is and I think it's turned out pretty good this is the first version and this is the second version a lot more say in and a lot more sight in your face because of how bright it looks on the wood but I like it you can see the variations in color between the walls and the window frames for where the cyan peent for the way this I in paint colors it but if you look at it just from this angle I think it looks superb I like it a lot and I have two more color schemes at least that I need to come up with all right now so I will bring it right back color scheme number six so this is for a screen on the adobe guys and it's tan where the wood is sorry not tan parchment so that is this color right here we've got it on all the wood I did a little bit of different window trim on this side but take a look at the outside and we'll take a peek at the inside clearly no colors are applying properly to the wood on the walls but I think from the outside this color scheme looks really good I like the dark green it's really subtle and not nearly as bright as I thought it would be and here is the inside out version guys so once again forest green on there the parchment on the wood and I think the parchment makes a nice crisp light color but it's not too bright it's not insanely white but I think this is all turned out pretty good on to another color scheme I'll have to think of at least one more alright guys I have another paint scheme for you this is orange and navy orange of course on the clay Navy on the wood and this is how it's turned out so far this is the standard version and I think the inside out version looks even better alright the inside out version here it is this is how it's turned out and I think it looks pretty excellent orange once again on the Adobe and maybe on the wood bits and you can see once again odd difference in color between the parts but hopefully that will get patched and there will be some consistency there for when you're painting your Adobe structures I like it guys this is my seventh and I'm officially out of houses these are all the ones we've done so far but I don't feel like I'm done so I might try and convert a couple of these maybe the black and white looking ones into something a little more festive I will be right back it's more cyan that's right this time I did the clay in cyan and we did the wood in yellow and the bright yellow actually turned out really really good so this is the standard version unfortunately is one with a lot of the brick texture so you don't get an overwhelming amount of the cyan but what you have I think looks really good let's flip around and look at the inside out version there we go lots more yellow obviously with the wood flipped inside out on this one and the cyan and I think it looks quite quite good I just redid one of the houses and I think I'm gonna do redo one more and get you guys a 9th paint scheme for this episode alright this is it the ninth and final color scheme for the day this is sky blue on the clay and we went with tangerine for the wood the tangerine on the clay comes out quite dark but on the wood it has a really vibrant color to it so this is the standard version we're gonna take a peek at the inside out version and then we're gonna call this an episode there you go guys inside out version of this final color scheme so you get sky blue on the Adobe clay tangerine on the wood I think it turned out pretty pretty grade so that does it guys I hope you enjoyed this little video I went and put together 14 almost identical houses that use just about every Adobe building piece in the game I kept some for more complicated ones out but you really get the basics here and throughout the episode we have tried out a variety of different color schemes from bright colors and more subdued and this is the final result I really think there are some good ones in here and I hope you find a style to paint your base in in scorched-earth my name is unite
