yay mother stays around the corner and what better way than to show her how much you care than to make something special for her today we're gonna make a little draw a Shay's that are filled with lavender so let's head on over to the machine and make something amazing before we head over to the machine I thought it would give you a quick tip use your quilters ruler and a disappearing pen and you can line up from point to point for a straight edge your straight edge is now your seam stitching line so back at the machine we've got our seams lined up and pinned for stability we're going to straight stitch right down our disappearing ink seam line we're going to back stitch at the top start and stop just for security remember to remove your pins as you're stitching you don't want to stitch over them and snap a needle you're going to clip away all the seam allowance and head on over to your iron and you're gonna iron it this way so that it's nice and flat it's going to look like this when you're all done and you're going to come back and stitch along your bottom edge this is going to be the bottom of your little sachet you want to make sure that you you backstitch at the beginning and the end people your seam allowance straight underneath you got to trim it again you don't need all that extra and then I like to just trim the corners then you're going to turn it inside out and if you'd like to press it again before you add your scented fill your lavender that would be a nice touch now if you don't like lavender you can pretty much use anything anything that you think smells pretty better get the pesky corners out so then you're gonna fill it flip it over and you're gonna be all set all right so if your studio is anything like mine it smells absolutely amazing from the lavender I think this is a great gift to wrap up a couple and gift to mom on her special day I'm Heather from the sewing loft and I think it's cool too so you
