hello everyone I've had a lot of comments and a lot of people asking me about how I bathe my rats and this is not probably going to be the video that a lot of you guys want but it's what I think is best so thank you Harper so I mean and I'll just get right into it and then you'll see what I mean so I'm gonna start off by saying I do not recommend actually bathing it off like in the bathtub or something like that but some people will put them in the shower and I really don't recommend that I have a video out of what they look like after I bathed them and I only do that I've only done it I think twice in their entire lives and it was when they got really really dirty from something so I mean I really don't recommend it it's such a big deal for them they get so stressed out and I can't even imagine what what it would have been like hey gage she's hiding oh there we go anyways um I can't even imagine what it would be like if my rats didn't fully trust me and you guys probably know by now that my pretty much trust me hates me and I've spent a lot of time with them and training them and all that stuff so and even for them I mean it was it was such a big deal I mean I really don't like to do it with them so I really recommend not doing it if you don't have to so I'm going to show you how I quote unquote bathe my rats normally and then I think this is such a good idea for everyone who has rats even even if they do trust you or whatever this is just a better way to do it so of course Jeannie is trying to hide so I'm gonna have to get a another volunteer Harper oh no Pippa gonna be on camera go oh yeah so this is it this is just a cloth and it's got like soap in it or whatever it is I don't this is a pet safe cat cleansing wipe or something like that it's it's for cats but you can they make them for dogs too and I think they make something similar for small animals but I just I mean as long as it says pet safe on it that that's fine so it's already got some stuff in there and I'm gonna try and see if I could do this but you I mean I put the camera over here what you do take the wrap take the cloth and just go up up and down the back up and down like this you can also do the tail like this Pippa's give me kisses thank you let me just wipe the fur just like this do you still look at me do you like that you feel good you just do every part that yeah and there you go you can do it you know it's better if you can hold them mine I love this for their tail mats are really clean I mean there's really not a lot of times when you need to raise them but I do notice that their tails get pretty disgusting sometimes so what I do is I just take the tail and pull it through and a lot of times this is an old one so it doesn't really have that much left on it you can uh meanwhile you know you could remoisten them and you'll get you know more the soap back but I've had these for a long time so it's it's still the same product but it's just an old one so but oh goodness Peppa I didn't hurt her I just touched her tail and she didn't like it okay there you go a little attitude from pizza everyone what about you Jin your channel is gross oh good you're all hyper this is why you need to hold them to mention what this would be like in a bathtub or something I mean oh my gosh it would be absolutely crazy so that's why I like these if their tails are so gross sometimes I will put them in the what I'll do is I'll hold one of them and then hold them over the sink while the sink water is running and then I will just take some baby soap in my hands and put it along and say like thank you oh she's so - are you doing it so yeah so and then just rinse it off but normally I don't like put soap on their body so they're really clean so there's really no need to do that I've noticed really but yeah sometimes sometimes their tail right Herbert sometimes it needs to be done and in that case we use many of these right these hey Harper's used to it you just grab their tail good so there you go so again I know some people wanted a video about how you bathe them in the background and stuff but I just don't think it's necessary unless you know there's some you know you rat got something really bad on them or I don't know once I had to do it after I gave them raspberries it was a mess but and even then you know my rats really trust me so don't do it please don't do it the fact that our skittish and anyway it's just gonna set you back a whole bunch so please don't even attempt it I mean unless it's really I say but again that's just my opinion so you don't have to take it but that's what I'm gonna stick to so if you guys um are gonna ask any comments or anything about it I'm asking me about doing it in the bath I'm gonna tell you again that I think going with the animal wipes as a better alternative so there you go that's how I date to my rest quote unquote it's like a dry bath kind of or a washcloth bath but for them and it's a lot less stressful so thanks for watching and see you next time we did bye
