in this tutorial I'll show you how to make a paper mache egg curtain start with a plastic carton that you can use as a mold you can generally find these in any store that has a camping section next prepare the glue by mixing one part flour to five parts of water to make a smooth paste first of all mix the flour in this case a quarter of a cup with an equal part water and stir until smooth eat the remaining water until it boils and then add the flour mixture heat and stir for several more minutes until the paste is thick and smooth while the paste is cooling tear your newspaper into strips of various sizes you'll need some long 1-inch strips some narrow short strips and some squares now begin to cover the egg curtain mold with the newspaper strips so dip one of your long strips in the glue wipe off the excess and to make a nice edge fold this in half and place the folded edge along the edge of the a curtain continue to do this all the way around then use the thin strips to put in between the egg cups make sure you press it down so that it fills all the spaces lastly use the square pieces to cover each of the egg cups make sure you completely smooth the newspaper so that there isn't any wrinkles or bubbles just be sure to remove any excess glue as well repeat this process until you have about four layers of newspaper over the mold then set it aside and let it dry for a few days then carefully remove the egg carton from the mold [Applause] at this point you can fill in any thin spots and you might want to reinforce the edges with some more newspaper strips if you want to make your egg curtain waterproof you can varnish it or paint it then put the two halves together and tie them
