okay here's a little project here that I think every homeowner should be aware of cleaning out the lint trap in the back of the dryer actually experienced a house fire back several years ago and was linked to the dryer so first of all you want to pull the dryer out from the wall disconnected from the flexible tube and then loosen all the screws off the back of the dryer like I've done here take the back off we have is you have the back of the dryer you have the lint trap I was in here that comes from the lower the track there where your stream goes into and then you can see they're here that's where you're flexible hose attaches that goes outside now what I did up here I took the couple screws here where the lint screen goes you can see two screws there get that loose straight out so and you'll see this here's where all your stuff from the dryer comes into the lint trap you can see here plenty of dog hair is probably enough to make a small dog there's the blower and here you see is the inside of the lint trap screen housing right here is the part that is the what needs to be concerned with is this excess lint that does not get blown collected in the screen this is probably this is also from when you're removing the screen and putting it back into the dryer stuff falls down inside and this here will collect inside the dryer inside this little track here you can see it looks like pieces of ink pen hair barrettes who knows we're all down in there but it's best to clean that out i would say probably you know once twice a year just make sure what happens is the lint here as you can see in the floor it builds up and this this here gets hot from the dryer and eventually it just catches up you can catch fire lint is very flammable so just a little homeowner fYI where your dryer is concerned you need to maintain it and after you clean that out I vacuuming out a little bit maybe even take the hose rinse it out real good and then you know just put it back together as few screws takes maybe 15-20 minutes of your time could keep you from losing your house like I did so that's my little tip of the day thanks
