set the washer on the regular cycle until the knob to turn it on open it on the washer and let it fill to be able to run the washer with the door open so you could see what's going on do the following according to the lid switch in your machine to be able to run the washer with a door open remove the magnet from the door on the washer place a magnet on top of the lid switch if the motor is running but the agitator is hardly moving at all like this you need to check the agitator coupler opt if you're done using the magnet don't forget to put it back on the door if your washer has a mechanical switch like this all you have to do is use a screwdriver like this to activate the lift switch if the motor runs put the agitator Holly moves at all you will need to check the agitator coupler before trying to remove the agitator put some hot water on the top and let it soak for about 10 minutes after you soak for 10 minutes put the washer on spin and drain all the water out get a piece of rope or a strap about six feet long and double it up like this put the rope on the day agitator like this grab the two ends of the rope and be ready to jump the agitator out now be careful that it doesn't hit you on the face when you yank it out go ahead and gank it out here is the same technique with a different idea tater put the rope under the agitator grab the twins of the rope and be ready to pull it out go ahead and yank it right out like I said before you need to be careful that the agitator doesn't jump and hit you on the face okay use a 7/16 wrench to remove the agitator couple of holes in screw have to removing the screw just pull the agitator coupler straight out if you look at the agitator coupler you can see that the splines are gone they should look like this before you install the new agitator coupler you need to use a small screwdriver or a pointing knife to clean all the splines on the transmission you could also use a wire brush to finish cleaning the transmission shaft until you look nice and clean like this plays the mutator cobbler over the transmission shaft I'm secure with the holding school make sure the screw is tight but don't over-tighten it you don't want to break the screw please agitator over the agitator coupler turn it around until you start going down okay then push it down until it snaps in place that was a way to remove and replace the agitator and the agitator coupler if when you pull the agitator out the agitator coupler comes out with the agitator and you can't get it out let me show you a way to get it out without messing up the agitator you'll need to get a strips of sheet metal like this stick each one of the strips between the coupler and the agitator tabs then bend them in like this stick each one of the tabs until you have stick all the tabs around the agitator coupler like this hold the agitator real good get a needle nose pliers and pull the agitator coupler right out like this that was a way that I remove a stock agitator coupler from an agitator
