Looking to give your ride a cool, stealthy
look without the hassle and high cost of new auto parts or a professional detail shop? Rust-Oleum Peel Coat products already allow
us to customize our cars with cool colors and designs for rims, hoods, and trim. And now, with Rust-Oleum Peel Coat Lens Tint,
you can add a black-out effect to your tail lights, fog lights, and turn indicators with
the option to change it whenever you want, because it peels right off. You just need a few supplies for the project. Let me show you how it works. Before you apply the Peel Coat Lens Tint,
decide whether you want to remove the lenses or leave them on the car and mask the surrounding
areas. Using soap and water, wash the surface, removing
any oil, grease, or wax. Once your prep work is done and the lenses
are dry, you're ready to apply the first coat. Shake the can for a minute, then hold the
can 8-12 inches from the surface, and spray in a steady, back-and-forth motion, slightly
overlapping each stroke. Allow the coat to dry to a matte finish, which
should take about 5-10 minutes between coats. From there, decide how dark you want your
tint to be. Add just a couple more coats for a cool, light
tint. Or up to three more coats for a sinister,
dramatic effect. The coating dries to the touch in 20 minutes
and can be handled in just one hour. Allow the coating to cure for 24 hours before
washing. Once cured, the tint can be peeled right off. Take a look at these awesome blacked-out tail
lights. It's a rear view your friends will be envious
of.
