this week's piece sea salt ice cream cut more Keyblade what all right you guys requested this one a lot and here it is sea salt ice cream from Kingdom Hearts 2 best part about this recipe is that it is super simple to make a really fun activity to do with friends and you don't even need an ice cream maker to do it you're gonna need four egg yolks one teaspoon of vanilla extract 1/2 cup of sugar one eighth teaspoon of salt six ounces of evaporated milk one cup of heavy cream blue and green food dye sea salt flakes popsicle sticks and popsicle molds you can usually find popsicle molds online or at a grocery store but if you can't a great substitute our plastic cups or even emptied out yogurt containers so don't be afraid to get creative first separate the egg yolks from the whites and add them to your KitchenAid mixing bowl then add in the vanilla extract sugar and salt and begin to mix it up on medium and high until all the ingredients start to combine for all aspiring rockers take a keytar solo while you wait you know the egg mixture is done when it falls off in thick ribbons from the mixer now just open up that can of evaporated milk measure out half a cup and heat it up on your stove until it reaches a simmer next we're gonna want to take your milk and incorporate it into your egg mixture by pouring it in slowly while the kitchenaid whisks once that's done pour it back into the pot and put it on your stove at a medium heat good old team whisking how cute now while it heats up keep on whisking it until it reaches a custard like consistency make sure it never reaches a boil or gets too hot otherwise your eggs are going to scramble once that's done put it in the freezer until it reaches room temperature back in the KitchenAid put in 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream and whip it until it doubles in volume when your egg mixture has been chilled just add the heavy whipping cream in with spatula gently fold and mix the ingredients together until everything is combined in one color so even if you don't have an ice cream maker no worries we have a handy dandy ice cube tray which is here to help us freeze the ice cream base as fast as possible so that no ice crystals form using any kind of ice cube tray just make sure you wash it off first then pour in your mixture and even it out then just stick it in the freezer and let it freeze while that's going pour out the rest of your heavy cream and add in your food coloring we use 10 drops of blue and 3 drops of green but change it up to whatever you think looks best mix it all together and then add it into a food processor next add in the very important sea salt flakes how much you put in is entirely up to you for a very mild salt flavor we just used one teaspoon you could use even less take out your frozen ice cube tray add in all the ice cream and blend it until it reaches a nice soft serve consistency this is your last chance to check for flavor so if you want to add any more salt now's the time pair your ice cream moulds and pour the ice cream inside make sure you do this very evenly so that no air bubbles formed then just stick in your popsicle sticks throw these bad boys in the freezer and let them freeze for about four hours until the ice cream is solidified once they've frozen take them out of the freezer and run the molds under some warm water until the edges soften up and you can remove the popsicle from the mold to make it look even more like the popsicles in game just take a knife and cut off the excess bits until you get what you want and just like that you created some delicious sea salt ice cream Thanks few little obstacles pretty cute I could just kiss it yes it are you really kissing it I'm kissing it I'm just kidding around you just let Keating with you he isn't even what I get a kick out of this ha ha oh man we filled it today in the kitchen in the kitchen can you believe it Oh
